Conference Proceedings

Optionally submitted full papers will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published in the Proceedings journal, after peer-review.

A digital object identifier (DOI) will be assigned for each published paper. No article process charge (APC) is required from authors. The information about Indexing & Archiving is also available.

The paper (min. 4 pages and max. 8 pages, incl. figures, tables, and references) should be prepared following the Instructions to Authors and using the template provided, submitted via the conference ConfTool system.

The submission deadline is July 15, 2024.

To submit, please follow the following steps:

1) After log in using your ConfTool user account, click on either the “Your Submissions” link:

2) In the “Your Submissions” page, identify the contribution you wish to upload the full paper by double checking the contribution ID and title and click on “Upload File(s)” link:

3) In the “Upload File(s)” page, click on “Choose a file …” link, select the Word document (less than 10MB in size and upload. Don’t forget to click on the “Upload File” button on the bottom of the page.

Special issues in Peer-reviewed Journals

Selected abstracts in specific topics will be invited to submit full papers to the special issues or topical collections in the following peer-reviewed journals:

Recommended Journals

  • Big Earth Data (IF: 4.2, Q1 in Computer Science, Information Systems and Geosciences and then Q2 in Remote Sensing) welcomes submissions resulting from the presentations in this conference.
  • Geomatica welcomes full papers for consideration. Please note that the open-access publication fee will be waived for any paper submitted before February 28, 2025.

Although we will select and invite relevant submissions, all participants are welcome to submit your full papers to the above where you see fit.

When submitting your papers to the above special issues and journals, please note “This submission is based on a presentation made in the 31st International Conference on Geoinformatics” in your cover letter.
